After finishing a Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Textile Design at Sydney's UTS, Mekaela opened a boutique
Bridal store on Sydney's Northern Beaches. While putting the business on hold while having her three children,
Ruby Rosebud Designs was created.

This allowed her to remain as a stay at home Mum while indulging in her love of craft. Since moving to Brisbane earlier this year, Mekaela has been working on further developing the business with the introduction of her website, rubyrosebuddesigns.com.

You will find a diverse collection of clothing, toys home ware and gifts some of which include Funky owl Doorstops, pencil rolls, cute little lavender cupcakes, lovely dolls and is currently working on a collection
of children's clothing.
